Pibiri Giulio Ermanno

Giulio holds a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Pisa (2019). He has been a Research Fellow in Computer Science at ISTI-CNR in Pisa from late 2018 to May 2022 (three times “Young Researcher Award” for the years 2019, 2020, 2021). He then joined Ca’ Foscari University in Venice in June 2022 as Assistant Professor and, as of June 2025, he is Associate Professor. His research activity focuses on the design and implementation of compressed data structures to index large datasets; currently, with applications to Bioinformatics.
